Sky's 4th Birthday

BATMAN BIRTHDAY! The little batman in the middle was a present for Sky, one of those cute little croc accessories. Sky loves it, he shows his batman crocs to everyone!

Sky's very missed friend Cache, he is so sad that he is gone. Before we left for our month long trip they were having play days at each others houses almost every day! While we were gone they moved to Boise Idaho, 4 hours away from Mary and Brennan.

Amie, Devin, Naomi, and Cache, our family away from family!!!!! We miss you guys!

4 years! Where have these past 4 years gone?

Cache is so athletic and very serious about it! He is going to be an amazing athlete some day!

And Sky just likes to have a good time. He could care less if he is winning or losing in something. That reminds me when Sky, Cache and Cannon were all in their super hero outfits and racing each other from one end of the street to the other. They all started out together, and then Sky slowly came farther and farther behind until he just started walking, lol. While Cache and Cannon had serious faces and were running so hard and trying to get to the finish line. It was funny. Sky ended up being their cheer leader instead of their competitor. lol.

Cool batman and Robin comic book.

Thank you Amie and Devin for making Sky's birthday so fun! It wouldn't have been the same without you guys!

Kayala's little buddy "naynay" or "Noamy"

Peter pan spraying spider webs! During Sky's birthday party he decided to dress up as Peter pan.

And Kayala dressed up as Tinker Bell

Grandma Nielsen gave Sky this awesome Buz light year!

Kayala got a dinosaur that walks and chomps

Sky's cool T-rex that walks and roars

Most of his toys

These Ninja Turtles were from Grandma and Grandpa Broderick. Sky loves them!

Kayala's 2nd Birthday!

Kayala's ducky cake! Isn't it adorable! I used homemade fondant which I learned from my dear beloved and missed friend Amie Orton for the bill, feet, ribbon and bubbles.

Sky decorated the left overs, he actually did pretty good!

She was so excited to eat her cake! She kept trying to snitch some of it all day. I finally had to hide it on top of the fridge so her and Sky couldn't destroy it before the birthday song.

Sky picked this balloon out for Kayala

We didn't get pictures of her with all of her presents and we don't have pics of any of them because we were video taping her opening them, darn it.

This was her last main gift, Sky hid it behind the couch. She loves it and her princess helmet! She rides it around in the house a lot and outside too when Sky rides his bike.

Kayala Bean and Sky boy

My dashing young knight

My cute little tigger!

Daddy time building towers! (hehe, little Kayala in her snow white dress)

After a smoothie packed full of spinach, yogurt and fruit they were freezing cold so I made them comfy pallets while they watched a short movie.

We were playing in the sprinklers and Sky and Kayala filled up their pumpkin and drank from it with a straw, lol. I didn't get any pictures of the sprinklers, I guess I was having too much fun frolicking in them, it was so hot I couldn't help it! Kayala was afraid of them though, she wouldn't go near them!

hehe, I love this shot!

Sky posing in front of my cute flowers before we went to the lake.

I had a water baby growing up, I saw this cute dalmatian water baby at a yard sale and had to get it, changed my mind, and the lady gave it to me for free :) Kayala is so cute with her "baby water" hehe. We gave it to her for her birthday. Look at her with her purse, a little later she put on dress up shoes and went shopping with her grocery cart. Such a girl!

Sky's first real drawing!

They love this white board, it will keep Kayala entertained for hours!

He got his batman shirt in the mail that day (thank you Shanna!) He was so excited and has been wearing it ever since! (if we go out I make him wear another batman shirt we got him that is short sleeved because it is so darn hot out there! Sky loves winter clothes, all he wants to wear is sweats and sweaters and long sleeved shirts and pants. I finally had to hide them because it was a fight every day trying to get him to wear shorts!)

This is a picture of Sky's first drawing! This cute little guy is Cade. The Circle around Cade is his house, lol. It is so neat to see Sky and Kayala growing and developing! I love it!

The one to the right inside the circle house is Kayala, it's upside down, she has 2 long arms and 2 legs, and the one to the left is Sky. Pretty cool ha!

My 24th Birthday

Kayala Bean! She snarfed that cheese cake down and wanted more! She loves sweets!

Hehe, Sky is such a cutie! He was so excited! You can see that my kiddos don't get sweets too often, lol.

My Birthday presents from Cade!!! Plus a really sweet card. My Mom got me lots of makeup and this really cool jewelry holder, and comfy yoga pants which I wear every day now, and an awesome workout set called the transfirmer (I know, she did way too much!) And I got a birthday card from Cade's parents with ten dollars in it! And a silver coin from my Grandma and Grandpa Smith.

Sky helped cut the cake!

Sky took this picture!!! Isn't he good! My delicious cheese cake, mmmm it was so good! My very good friend Susan Schneidenbach got to enjoy it with us. She came over and we made parmesian chicken and she taught me how to make a delicious spaghetti sauce, she is a great cook!

My apron I'm wearing was made by my bosom friend Mary Williams. I'll think of it as a birthday present from her :) It is soooo cute and fun and Sassy, I'll have to get a picture of the whole thing and post it!

Cade made me amazing hamlets! He could sell them at a restaurant they are sooooo good! He made them with roast beef and home made hash browns, and lots of other good stuff. Mmmmm they were amazing!

My birthday was a really good one this year! The best visiting teacher in the whole world planned a surprise birthday party for me! I had no idea and I even showed up a little late to it. She called me and was like, "Your coming right!!!???" lol, I then told her I was one minute away and when I knocked on her door I was greeted with lots of friendly smiling faces! She hand picked some of my closest friends to be there, it was absolutely wonderful! The kids played in the sprinklers and we all got to visit and we had an amazing taco salad!!!! It was perfect! I feel so blessed to have such an amazing visiting teacher and amazing friends here. My eyes tear up when I think of leaving this beautiful paradise in less than a year.
Then when I got home I made a cheese cake and it turned out absolutely amazing! I had to let it refrigerate for 4 hours afterward so we didn't get to eat it until the next day but it was sooooo good! My good dear friend and relative Janet Broderick did some research on how to make good cheese cakes and it's all how you bake it. So, if your interested let me know and I'll share with you what she learned.
It was so nice not having to make dinner! I got to lay on the couch and elevate my legs and read a good book while Cade slaved away in the kitchen :)
And then the perfect day ended as I was able to talk with lots of family members! Bekah and the cuz's in Washington, my dearest Shanna Banana, my beautiful mother, and my good ol pops. My sweet cousin Ashley called me but unfortunately I wasn't able to talk with her, I still need to call her back.
Thank you for the many of you who helped make my birthday simply wonderful!
